The "Women and Mathematics" themed event held by our department within the scope of 8 March International Women's Day was successfully held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Dinçay KÖKSAL, Vice Rector of our university, Prof. Dr. Hava ÖZAY, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Onur Özbek, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and valuable professors and students of our university. The event continued with the opening speeches of Dr. Faculty Member Aykut OR, Deputy Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Hava ÖZAY, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Dinçay KÖKSAL, followed by the presentations made by the female faculty members of the Department of Mathematics.

At the end of the ceremony, a video message special to the meaning of the day was broadcast by Tülin KAMAN, a female mathematician faculty member at the University of Arkansas, USA. The event ended with a music concert by the students of the Department of Mathematics. Pilaf was served after the event.
