The chess tournament held within the scope of the activities organised by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Sports Union Coordinatorship for the 100th anniversary of the Republic was completed. Starting on 9 December, the final stage of the Chess Tournament was held at the Student Social Activity Centre (ÖSEM) Chess Hall.  Egemen ÇATALOLUK, a student of our department, came first in the men's category of the tournament and received his award from our rector Pof. Dr. R. Cüneyt ERENOĞLU. 

Due to the success of our student, a certificate of appreciation was presented to her at our department's "Women and Mathematics" themed event.
