About Department

Our department began its education by admitting its first students in 1994. While the Second Education Program (II. Öğretim programı) was in place from 2003 to 2013, there have been no admissions for the Second Education Program since 2014.

The primary goal of our department is to educate individuals who possess a strong mathematical foundation, problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of fundamental academic mathematics, and mathematical thinking. With their education, they should be capable of achieving respected positions in our country's scientific community, society, and professional life. We aim to produce contemporary, entrepreneurial, self-confident, knowledge-generating, and original individuals.

Currently, our department has 4 Professors, 2 Associate Professors, 6 PhD lecturers, 1 Research Assistant Professor, 2 Research Assistants, and 2 research assistants, one of whom is pursuing a doctoral degree.
